You will need a referral for testing from your GP or Fertility Specialist.
They will provide you with a request form listing the tests required.

Making an appointment
An appointment is required for all visits, because at Sydney Andrology we make sure a scientist is in the lab ready to analyse your sample within an hour of ejaculation.

At the time you make an appointment, we will request the following information:
- name, address, phone number and date of birth
- the tests your doctor has requested on your referral form
- the name of your referring doctor
If you require an appointment at a certain time or particular day of the week, please provide us with as much notice as possible.
You will be provided with information on when you should abstain, the cost of the test and where to visit for your appointment.
Preparing for testing
Prior to having testing at Sydney Andrology you are asked to abstain from ejaculation for 3 days. Please note that increasing the period of abstinence does not improve the results.
Try not to sit in hot tubs or spas during the three months before the testing. Use of drugs, alcohol or cigarettes should be kept to an absolute minimum during the three months before the testing.
If you have a fever within three months before the testing, sperm quality may be adversely affected. Please mention this to your doctor prior to testing.
